June 5 Results of something that happened on the course!

We played a simple game of one low net on the first 6 holes,
then 2 low nets on the next 5 holes,
and then 3 low nets on the next 4 holes,
and then 4 low nets on the last 3 holes.

Does that make sense? Does anything the
golf gods ask us to do make sense?
No!

OH well it was a scramble and here are the results
without pictures for the 2nd straight week!

Why might you ask?

Cause this here dummy reporter is a senior
and he forgot to put a memory card in the camera!

Deuce pot winners today were: Ley McMillan, Dave Hay and Jack Angstadt.
They split $60 cause two of the organizers were deuce pot winners!

When Louie or Norman or anyone else gets a deuce they only get $5!
Is there something fishy going on here?
No! - oh thanks for that Dave and Ley!

Ley McMillan won an entree here at the Eaglewood Restaurant!

Ken Robertson (finally I won something!?)  scored a $25 gift certificate from the Pro Shop!
Amazing what a little whinging and whining will get you!
Gene Mehr won and entree here as well!
Jack Angstadt scored 2 rounds of golf at Revelstoke! Go for the weekend Jack!
Norm Romano won a sleeve of balls - bought time he got some!

Arlene Sahlstrom - Pooch's better half won the Senior Token of the week for sinking her thirteenth stroke on number 5? from about 84 feet! Do we play the game or what?

Arlene said that she was making this wish and poof Don disappeared!

Now to the real prizes for outstanding performances and excellent eraser skills on the scorecards today!
This lady was standing by to award the awesome prizes I might add!

Shooting an awesome 130 as a team was this fine group!

Marilyn Peterson (she sent along this unique shot to show she still has it!) and Jorgen Sveistrup, some old dog named Louie and Paul Hindle.

In second place was the fine team of Ben and Audrey Nielsen, Gerry Campbell and Norm Romano! They shot an amazing 131.

As you can see Audrey stood on her head to day!

In third spot with an unbelievable score of 134 was the team of Jack Angstadt, Sandra and Frank Bava and Les Ekstrom.

Sandra really knows how to celebrate a win!

Coming in a considerable distance behind were these two teams:

at 145 and still counting -

Flavio Facchin, Myrtle Cadogan, Charley Molloy, and John St. Jean?

Tied with Dave Zimmer, Tave Dandy, Bruce Betker and Ken Robertson

Myrtle and Tave seemed very happy about the win!

In 5th place tied with  another lousy team were:

Gene Mehr, Wayne ?, Marsha Blundell and Anita Romano.

the other lousy team was Art Harms, Shirley Wiklund, Dave Hay and Ley McMillan.

Nice show girls! But who was who?

Last and deservedly least was this fine foursome of John Dumont, Al Jakel, Bill Brown, and Laurel Gouthro.

As you can see even Laurel was unable to rescue this group!

There were a lot of other sad sacks out there today - cause my lousy camera skills let me down I don't have the names of everyone but sort of think they all played like this!

On a much happier note the speed of play was pretty good but we wanted to give everyone some tips on how to speed it up in a visual format!

Putting the ball in play is pretty important and Tave Dandy
searched her personal video files and found one taken a couple of years ago
and in it she says she showed the importance of helping others
find their ball and how cooperative people are when you help them!

Roll it Tave!

As you can see everyone loves Tave's ball returning skills!

And notice how ready everyone was over their ball!
