April 18, 2012 Results of the 1-2-3 Low net Team Ball

Douche bags to-day were John Campbell, Audrey Faulkner,
and Fred Marsh!
(Louis Faisthuber said he got a net douche
but what does he know?)
Audrey at least was happy for her deuce!

There were 51 seasoned golfers out today - where were you?

Logan Lake has announced that they won't be able to play there on May 3
(6 feet of snow on course!) and so they will play here - sign up downstairs
 - only one idiot (sorry about that!) has signed up so far!

Token of the week was won again by Louis Faisthuber
 - both he and Pat agreed that he can't get it up any longer!
So he needs more practice on the range!
Oh his drives are what he can't get up!? Sorry Louis!

Now to the weiners of the week - In 5th spot with a very spotty round were John Dumont, Terry Noftall, Audrey Fishkiller and Lincoln Cadogan.

The boys held up their prize but Audrey refused to be in the picture!

In fourth spot was the fearless foursome of
Doug Rutledge, Vic Feere, John Campbell, and Tave Dandy.
As you can tell Tave always puts up a good front!

Tied for 2nd were the two teams of:
Brian Motorhead, Ferne Gosselin, Les (Leaks Are Us!) Ekstrom,
and Norm
(Yes I am Retired and yes I did sign up for Logan Lake!) Romano.

They sort of played like this today!

Tied for second with them were the Scintillating and Dazzling team of
Rob (Mr. Cool to you and don't you forget it Newsy!) Egan,
Dana (Phoenix is my second home!) Skoberg,
Doug ( I've got one hand in my Pocket and one in yours too!) Pockett, and
Angus ( I'm going to hit that dimplefaced #$#$%%%% real far this time!) Gouthro.

They really enjoyed their "Hot" round!

Now for the truly reprehensible and almost disgusting team of
Ken (Anyone need a sandbag?) Robertson,
Laurel (Oops I almost said an Angusism!) Gouthro,
Paul ( I got two pars and three bogeys today!) Hindle,
And Barry ( Yes I hit them out of sight on most occasions!) Gray.

They won the big one with a net score of 127 thanks to Robertson's perfect scoring system!
(Let's see what would Dumont take on this hole - oh well I beat him occasionally so I should have got one better than him No?)
$70 smackers was their just and nigh illegal take today! Thanks folks!
Money can't always buy you love but it does buy happiness!

Other folks were out on the course and I managed to snag these people!
Don Ozubko, Peter Hasbon, Richard Zorn
and Gerry Tresiera.
As anyone can see Ozubko was at work on the course!

Shirley Wicklund, Jorgen Sveistrup, Barry Hill and Erwin Nyfeler were out there too!
At least Shirley gave this group some class!
Thanks to Ley MacMillan, Al (Mad Dog) Jakel, Dave Hay and the wandering school bus driver Larry Sill we were once more treated to a great day of golf with the wind, sunshine, hail, rain and obscenities thrown in for free! Thanks Guys!
This was sort of the day they had us playing golf in today!

April 11 Results from the 2 Low Net Team Play.

Thirty-six were out today for team play with 2 low nets per hole counting.
Brett Martin from the Pro Shop welcomed us to the course for the year
and introduced our new chef, Lenny from Delta Sunpeaks?
as well as Brenda sous chef
and Tracee our beverage manager and Lisa and ? but I'll soon get the names!
A sandwich and soup buffet with a glass of beer for $10.00 a good deal!

Brett asked us to book in advance cause the course is going to be busy
- junior program getting underway on Wednesdays after seniors!
Any used but good condition clubs, balls or what have you
can be donated to the pro shop for the elementary aged kids
from R.L. Clemitson Elementary is gladly accepted.
Brett also welcomes constructive feed back on the course and the clubhouse offerings!
 Thanks gang!

We had three douche bags score deuces this week!
Brian Whitehead, Dave Hay (number 6 from 150 yards!),
and some old hog head named Ozubko!

The proud winner of Token for the Driving Range this week was Paul Hindle!

In Fourth Place this week was Don Ingraham,
Larry (oh dang I have to go drive bus now!) Sill,
Don Ozubko, and Shirley Wicklund
( What happens on the course stays on the course Shirley!)
As you can see the group was much more relaxed after they finished without Sill!

Coming in Third Spot was this Dandy Foursome!

Vic Feere, Ron (I've been around the world a lot!) Heywood, Doug Rutledge and Tave Dandy kept them in some kind of order!

If you can call this order!

In  a tie for Third Spot was the well known Sand bagging crew lead by John Dumont with able? assistance from Rick Baker, Charles Molloy and Gerry Tiramisu!
God knows what these guys were thinking when they went out on the course with Dumont!

I mean would you go out with Dumont  like this?

Finally we had our real supremo nonchalant golfers!
They played fast and loose especially the women!
Jack and Linda and Pat Faisthuber who was free from Louie's influence for once and Dr. Dave! They shot a net 121 for the day!

They take their winning very cereally!

Also on the course were the following teams!
Angus, Don and Art.

Rob, Laurel and Myrtle.
Ken, Terry and Jack!

Ley, Bev, Brian and Erwin!
Not pictured today but Al Jakel, Ken Robertson, Dave Hay, Paul Hindle and Lincoln Cadogan struggled around the course much like this today!
It was sort of that kind of a day!

April 4, 2012 - Cold and windy - just like the women we dated in high school!

34 wonderfully stupid people showed up to golf today
- 9:30 start
- was it cold?

Yes it was cold!

As you can see the usual suspects of
Ley MacMillan, Dave Hay and Al (Mad Dog!) Jakel
were in charge so we had the usual Texas Scramble
 which I never win
- which is of course why they played it!

Some how they manage to take our money
 - make the rules
 - order us into pliable groups and send us out
into the misery each week!
Thanks a lot guys!

Oh and of course they managed to come 3rd today
Their par player who was absent was the best of the bunch!

Dave Hay managed to stand up and be recognized
- he thanked us all for coming out
- does he know a gullible audience or what!?
 - anyway Dave had to do something
so he announced the following upcoming events and rules.

First - no gimmes under any circumstances if anyone is watching!

Second, Weldon Steele sign up sheets are downstairs in the hallway
and we play against Merritt, Logan Lake (May 3rd so wear your ski clothes!)
as well as Kamloops and Rivershore this year
 - sign up and if you are lucky
and/or contribute to the Dave Hay super retirement fund you will be chosen to play!

Third, the new handicap system is in
and it is really very simple
- follow the directions at the scoring computer
or ask someone who looks intelligent
- but no one pictured on this blog!

Fourth, we are hosting a Seniors Tournament for
Zone 2 on June 16
- it will be run co-currently with the Zone 2 Seniors tournament
to be held here for those wishing to qualify for the
BC Seniors' Championship this summer in Nanaimo.
If you want to play here and not go for the Zone then you pay $65
if you want to toss your name into the ring
with the big boys then pay $95 - could be a fun day!

This was our qualifying group for the Zone Last year!

Dave also thanked Eaglepoint for the fine sandwich, salad, and soup luncheon
they put on for $10
- with a glass of beer!
Thanks Ian and staff!

Now to the real results - someone won some money - not me!

In 5th place today was the fabulous almost winners of Norm Romano? W
TF how did he qualify - is he old enough?
Doesn't he work - did he ever work?
Questions of a serious nature need to be pursued here!
As well the old monkey wrencher, Don Ingram
- or to you Mr. Woodwork!
and adding some class to the group was Mrs Fishkiller, Audrey Faulkner
- though it was tough to add any class to a group that contained Terry Haines
- he went home early cause his mommy made him!

They chowed down happily and as Donnie says
- he's been chowing down real good lately!

Don sent in a recent picture of him in full bore eating action to prove it!

In 4th place because they let Louie score was the vibrant team of:

Dave Asmus, Pat Faisthuber, Barry Hill and Louie Faisthuber
- Louie said it was his love that kept him warm!

Coming in 2nd was the fine team of :

The old train wrecker (Don Ozubko and my back feels really really good!),
Bev McIntosh, Mark (yes I learned to hit the ball really really good this winter!) Nadler
and some old biker they pulled in off the road (AKA Brian Whitehead!)

As you can see Bev had a rough time on the course
but made it with a lot of help from the guys!

Finally in First place was the ?Awesome? team of John and Gloria Dumont,
Angus and Laurel Gouthro!
They shot a net 48!

Somehow they managed to golf as partners and got away with it!

Sort of makes you suspicious don't it?

These other groups were on the course but mostly off it!

Robertson, Campbell, Teere and Hindle sort of bottom fed all day!
They all agreed however that with a Net 60 they had to do better
and the TOKEN OF THE WEEK was given to Vic so he could practice his driving!

Just ahead of them in the standings were these other groups of whiffs and zips
and never wuzzes!
In no particular order but to save them from eternal embarassment
and public humiliation here they is! At the top with his eyes closed like he golfs - Ken  - ably supported by Shirley , Keith and Pooch.

Then comes Charlie, Tave, Lincoln and Doug followed or sort of herded along was Ed, Rick and Erwin who says that he was shanghaied!

They all sort of played like this today!

So get your acts together
- put on your snuggies and get ready to rip it up again next week
same time and hopefully a different game and set of partners!
