May 29 Aching Ass Scramble

8:30 AM is our starting time!
Please register by 8:15 AM~

So it was out with the big hitters today!

First this was a scramble with best ball - everyone had to hit
4 drives and 3somes had to hit 5 -
Best ball to the cup from there!
Then we played from the Red Tees, White Tees and Black Tees in rotation from Number 1 Tee!

Sort like how this lady was riding!

Request from the Pro Shop - please consolidate carts
so that a foursome only has 2 power carts maximum
 - don't ride alone
- the course doesn't need more carts running everywhere!
Thanks!

Door Prizes this week -

Ben Nielsen scored a round of golf at Osoyoos!
Audrey Nielsen won a sleeve of balls!

Donna Vath won $25 Gift Certificate!
Jack Angstadt won free food in the clubhouse!
Bob Peace won a round of golf at Rivershore!
Marc Guertin won a sleeve of balls!

67 out today - a new record for attendance!

No pictures taken of groups today - can't find my camera!

The major winners today were:

In First Place by a stroke at 49 Net was the sort of awesome team of
Myrtle Cadogan, Dave Bacon, Dave Zimmer and Tave Dandy!
Even though they played like this guy on the skateboard!

In Second spot was the awesome team of
Jorgen Sveistrup, Ken Robertson and Brian Dennis!
They shot 50!
They were sort of good but had their moments as you can see!

Third Place was awarded to Carol Fitzmaurice, Dennis Fitzmaurice,
Sandra and Frank Bava!  They netted 50.3! Take a bow!

Hey we got to break these couples up
- this here Seniors group was built on playing with a different group
each week and lunching together afterwards
- couples please split up for the day!

Or we'll send the Green Guys after you!

In Fourth Place this week was the group of
Ron Watson, Carol Pearce, Paul Sharp and Norm Romano!
They made their penguins fall perfectly!

Crashing into Fifth spot was the ever popular team of Art Harms,
Les Swaine, Jack Mathews and Sylvia Gobbi
- Sylvia wasn't driving apparently!

Flying into Sixth Spot today was this fine performance by
Ley McMillan, Ludwig Faisthuber, Myles Hanke and Dwight Oatway!

Myles really loves to get into the action!

Seventh Spot this week was taken by John Dumont,
Shakey Walton, Don Ingram and Angus Gouthro!
Dumont was doing back flips he was so happy!

 Nice touchdown John!

The TieMeister showed up again this week and we had three teams tied for Tenth Spot!

Paul Hindle, Marsha Blundell, Rick Baker and Ken Gorilla were one of them!

Also sort of shambling around the course was the group of Heather Bird, Dana Skoberg, Bruce Betker and Bill Brown!

As well this group managed to fudge their way into the big money in Tenth - Shirley Wiklund,
Ed Blundell, Phil Walls and Grace Brown!

As you can see they all  had a rough ride today!

Now out on the course just seeing how nice a day it was were these groups!

In no particular order of merit cause obviously they had none were the following:

Al Jakel, Jerry Campbell, Linda Angstadt, and John St. Louis!

Marilyn Peterson, Bev McIntosh, Gene Mehr and Terry Haines!

Bob Peace, Flavio Facchin, Brian Rattray, and Lincoln Cadogan!

Marc Guertin, Lorraine Zimmer, Jack Angstadt and Audrey Faulkner!

Don Puhach,  Arlene Sahlstrom, Audrey and Ben Nielsen!

Last and least was the group of Mark Nadler, Dorothy Pickering, Charles Molloy and Pat Faisthuber!

Of course they all claimed that this is what happened to them on the course!

Remember to speed up play -  put your clubs in the cart at the next hole!

Ready Golf - first ready hits off!
Ready Putting
- if you are ready go ahead and putt
and if you are close finish the shot off!

Keep in touch with the group in front!

Thanks to Ley McMillan, Al Jakel and behind the scenes to Dave Hay for organizing, collecting the money, figuring out the scorecards and prizes and distributing the goodies!
Larry Sill is lollygagging on a canal boat tour and bicycling from Holland to Paris!

Good work Gentlemen!

Weldon Steele Results from Revelstoke March Play last week here at Eaglepoint!

Weldon Steele  results from this past Monday at Rivershore!
Marc Guertin and Ken Robertson played
Jekyll and Hyde and lost both front and back nine - Robertson hot on the front and Nyaah! on the back and Marc the reverse! No points!

Peter Frew and Norm Romano took one point
(they were shut down by an awesome 74!) so we get the rematch here on June 6th!

Sort of how we felt too!

May 15 Ugly Ball Results

This here represents what happened to
Ken Robertson, Ley McMillan, John French
and
John Dumont
in Revelstoke on Thursday
- it was a wipeout! He He He!

First in the house with a roar was the fine? team of
Eugene Mehr, Dave May, Dan Crawford
and Laurel Gouthro.
They know how to celebrate!

These four stiffs were in the house second
- Ed Velestuk, Ley McMillan, Paul Sharp
and Jack Angstad

You can see what I mean about stiffs - nice work gentlemen!

Third this week was the awesome team of
Myrtle Cadogan,
Doug Rutledge, and Shirley what's her face.

The ladies knew they had it in the bag with Doug on his game!

Grace Brown had a tough day carrying this load of rubbish around the course today
- Bruce Craiggs, Ron Watson and Paul Hindle
- though a little birdie says Paul
shot the game of his life
- couldn't tell it from the fire in Grace's eyes though!

They say a tie is like kissing your sister
- well no problem cause that's who these two groups
were kissing at the end of the round!
Here Tave Dandy tried to keep order with
Bill Brown, Marc Guertin and Smooth as Silk!

Tave wasn't too sure about evolution till she played with these guys!
Now she knows!

Kissing the sister also was
Vic Feere, John French, Mad Dog Jakel
and Linc Cadogan.

They know how to finish off a round!

Quietly finishing out  of the money as usual was
Art Harms, Jack Mathews, Gerry Campbell
and Pooch.
They sort of chased the ball around all day!

Also around and about today were Lorraine Zimmer,
Charley Molloy, Bruce Betker
and Angus Four Letter Friend Getter Gouthro.

I managed to get a shot of Angus just before he got to work today!

Last and least was the forgettable foursome of
Mark Nadler, Ken Robertson,
Steve Walton and
hey! Bacon is the answer!

They sort of ended up like this on the course!

Token of the week went to Art Harms - something about an Ugly ball score?

Consoling themselves with food vouchers from the restaurant were Mark Nadler, and Don Puhach
Lorraine Zimmer got a play pass
at Shuswap Lake Estates!

The KP today went to Gerry Campbell - also known as Lucky!

2 Deuces were won today by Grace Brown - told you she had to carry those guys - and Ley McMillan.

Remember we start it up at
8:30 AM and please be here by 8:15 AM
so the scorekeepers can get things organized
- 36 out today!

Keep up the speedy play - keep close to the group in front and mark your scores at the next tee

Ready golf off the tee and when putting
 - if you are ready play your ball!

May 8 Arizona Shuffle Results.

Arizona Shuffle -  each team shoots and records individual net scores each hole.

Team takes one low net on par 3's

Two low nets on Par 4's.

Three low nets on Par 5's and total the results for Team Score!

Start time for Seniors on  May 15 and onwards is 8:30 AM

Please try to be in the clubhouse for registration by 8:15 Am!

Door prizes today were won by Lorraine Zimmer with an entree at Eaglewood Restaurant.
Anita Romano and Charley Molloy won rounds of golf at Rivershore and Rosella Boulton won a round at Chinook Cove.

Deuce pot winners today were Ed Blundell, Shirley Wiklund, John Dumont and Barry.

Weldon Steele this week the fine team of Ludwig, Norm, Dave Hay and some other old guy went to Meadow Creek and stormed the course for 5 and 1/2 points - good work guys!

In First place with a remarkable score despite the fact they are all over the hill was the fiine team of Myles Hanke, Ed Blundell, and Gerry Campbell - despite the fact that their fourth took the fifth and was camera shy!

The boys were really pumped from their round!

Second place was a team that collected their money and ran cause we didn't get a picture of them! Don, Phil, Jorgen and Denny?

Tied for fourth  were these two fine teams
- in this one we have Bob Pickering, Fern Gosselin, Myrtle Cadogan
and some old guy who said he wanted to show us
how to clean our roof of snow -
Thanks Ludwig!

He may not know how to clean roofs but he sure can tumble!

They were tied with this very questionable foursome - Not sure who the main guy was but Shirley Wiklund, Laurel Gouthro and Sylvia Gobbi backed him up!

NIce backing ladies!

Alone in 5th place was Lincoln Cadogan, Herb?. Dave Hampton, and Flavio Facchin.

These guys really get excited over near wins!

See what I mean!

THen there was another tie for these two groups for 6th place.

- first we have the charming and effervescent Anita Romano
who had to put up with Ley McMillan
and some old dude they dug out of the dumpster
so they had a third to drag around the course!

Ley is always needing to know what time it is so we dug up a clock just for him!

Tied with them was this almost awe inspiring group of
Bruce Betker, Jack Angstad, Freddie Freeloader and Barb Kenyon.

Barb said that this was sort of how she saw the group on the course!

Finally in 7th was this foursome of
Dumont, Rosella Boulton, Mark Nadler and Marsha Blundell.

They sort went home looking like they had had a rough day of it!

Try and figure out which one is Dumont!

We also had a lot of people out today - 66 - a record -

Angus Gouthro and Bev had these two gentlemen along for the ride but apparently they couldn't figure out the  rules of the game!

Then Charley Molloy, Sandra and Frank Bava
and another lady went around the course in style!

Nice style guys and gals!

Marc Guertin, Ed Velestuk and Bob Peace also were on the links!

They found it a challenging round today!

Pat Faisthuber and these two ladies  managed to steer
Steve Walton around the course but they couldn't fix his stepping around apparently!

Nice walk off Steve!

Jack Matthews, Dorothy Pickering, and Lorraine Zimmer
and ? were also around the course!

Dorothy and Lorraine weren't sure how supportive the two guys were!

Now in this fine foursome one of them was really really good today!
But only Boulton could get away with pink pants!
Paul Sharp, Ken Robertson, Ron Watson and Rick Boulton.
Boulton kept telling us he was a real tough lie player!

Nice follow through Rick!

Filling out ther groups today was another fine performance by (not sure what she was so happy about! ?) Phil Walls and Don Ingram - Don said hold it newsy I've got a shot of me iin my finer days performing and so here it is!

Nice face plant Don!

John French said he wasn't lonely at all today!
Heather Heron, Marilyn Peterson and some teenager? kept John focussed today!

 Nice tan John!

And another group that was forgotten in the first round of this here blog!
Tave Dandy, Barry and Rob Egan.

According to Barry and Rob,
Tave was walking a fine line today!

 Nice recovery Tave!

Start time is 8:30 AM for rest of summer!
Please register by 8:15 AM!
