April 21 - there was no Audrey Faulkner nor Shirley Wiklund in sight!

Weather was great today and we had a good turnout!
Good to see the ladies out in force!

Returning to the fold was that old reprobate Gordie Craik! And as he was such a good golfer and had such a high score he got the Token of the week for the driving range! Almost shot his age! 104! He had a hard time on the landings apparently!

The Ladies were out in force and it was great to see them! Three of them got to golf with Fred Persello and he so impressed them he left the course immediately after the game!
Low gross winner was Ferne Gosselin!

She went home very happy!
  Gloria Dumont

and Gloria Tewnion came first and second in Low Nets for the ladies!

Men's 17+ handicap Low Gross was taken by
Fearless Fred Hamarlund and John French - Fred was given the money to split and took off before John could catch him!

Low net was posted by (hard to believe this one!) Jumping Jack Matthews! A cool net 71! Poor Fred Persello had to settle for second low net but then his golf game was thoroughly critiqued by his partners! Wouldn't you go home early too?

Grand Poobah Low Gross Winner at 80 in the 0 - 16 Handicap flight was   Dave Assmus!

Dave has a great ability to relax after winning!

Jealously following Dave with Low Nets in the 0 - 16 flight were:

Rick Baker and Frank Barrrett! I blew up Frank's picture from a copy I got at the local post office where there are free pictures of a list called MOST WANTED! Why anyone would want him is beyond me!
They relished their victories and one of them lead the other them out on a short victory? stroll! You figure them out!

Scraping the bottom of the barrel or what we call the DEUCE POT winners were:

John Dumont and                                              Larry Sill.
They make a great pair don't they?

Larry asked the group as to how they were enjoying the "mix and match" teams and groups each week and essentially everyone voted to have draws for teams or foursomes every week! Newcomers particularly like the format as it mixes them in with the old has beens and they feel right at home! Three ladies were drawn in one group and they raised a mild point of order and suggested - without complaining - that they didn't want to golf together again. Well we know and you know who you are so we won't let it happen until next time! ( Her initials are BK though!)
