It was a cold start today - but 30 intrepid souls braved the cool
and played Las Vegas Golf!
You all drive your balls and then roll a die to see whose ball
is going to be played and then scramble to the hole!
As you can see there was a lot of scrambling around the course today!
Paul Sharp was awarded the Senior Token of the week
as he was the only Aberdonian to appear out on the course today!
The other wusses from Aberdeen and Whitehead and White you know who you are
were too chicken to brave the cool start!
Door prizes of free Eaglewood Restaurant Entrees
were picked up by Laurel Gouthro and Pat Faisthuber!
As I didn't have my camera today I managed to go through the files
and picked up some pictures for the winners!
In First Place this week was the dynamic? team of Ludwig Faisthuber,
Pat Faisthuber (the long suffering partner of Louie!) Paul
and Dennis Fitzmaurice!
In second place was the fine??!! TEAM of Lorraine Zimmer and Heather Heron
(Heather complained I hadn't got any good pictures of her lately
so I went to Dave and he sent in this fine pair for me - you be the judge! He HE He)
who were teamed up with Marc Guertin and Paul his old buddy from Nova Scotia
( I didn't think Herring Chokers knew anything about golf but apparently they do!)
Marc and Paul were dressed for the event today!
Third spot was the popular team of Angus Gouthro, Don Ingram, Laurel Gouthro,
and Shirley Wiklund - Angus chose not to appear in this rather decadent shot
but Ingram said he was all in and who wouldn't be with Shirley and Laurel
flexing their wares for the camera!
Tied for fourth this week was the threesome of Dave Assmus, Les Swaine and Erwin Nyfeler! Amazing how a little alcohol unhinges these lads!
Tied for fourth was the rather heavyweight group of Jack Mathews (he's in the blue tights with the sword) and his three heavyweight partners from left to right in the front row - Paul, Brian Dennis and John Dumont who was hanging his head in shame as usual!
Others were out puttering about and this writer observed some strange doings today
- John Campbell was in great form - as you can see
and Larry Sill had a really fun time on his approaches today! HE HE HE
Dave Hay was just content to let it ride baby!
That's it this week and we will be teeing it up Wednesdays
at 9:00 AM or as soon as frost permits till the course closes!
