There were 56 out for Seniors' Golf today!
Great weather and the only wrinkle was playing
Lone Ranger - He He HE!
Trying to decipher the rules
and figure out whose ball was in play
and what ball was counting was fun!
NOT!
Oh well the Gods of Golf blow the winds of fate
around and we all end up in the dust heap eventually!
Keith Larson was on hand to thank us for helping out
with the Seniors Golf Tournament last week!
Thanks Keith but come out golfing with us once in a while!
Reminder to please enter your current handicap scores
and use the new USGA rules of handicapping!
Thanks!
Weldon Steele competition - we ended up second in our zone!
Missed out by a measly 3 points
(Robertson - try and get past Revelstoke next year!)
Phil Walls won the Eaglewood Restaurant voucher
and Dana Skoberg won a sleeve of excellent balls!
Steve Walton was awarded the Senior Token of the week!
Now to the real weiners out this week!
First in their minds and last in our hearts
was this fine team of Tave, Dave, Bruce and John!
Tave said it was great being escorted around by Dave and John - nice figures guys!
Bruce for some reasons unknown decided not to parade around in his tights!
In second place was the team of Terry - I hate these pictures newsy! Marilyn, Les and Dana.
Reports have it that Marilyn had a great deal of fun on the course today!
Jim, Ian and Ken were busy on the course and took third spot - apparently their fourth was a real shooter !
As you can see they were buffed for the action today!
Fourth spot was taken by Pat, Bruce, Dwight and John!
Apparently they were blown away by the competition!
Tied for fifth was the team of Ley, Anita and Jerry!
Apparently they were operating on McMillan's math today!
Also in fifth spot but looking over their shoulders at the competition was the team of Brian, Dave, Marc, and Vic.
Now these old timers know how to finish off a round of golf!
In sixth spot today was the team of Louie, Bob, Brenda and Ken.
They decided to show the rest of the gang
how to really do it!
Nice work Louie!
Jack, Heather, Lincoln and Mark were also out and about - Heather said it was a real glide!
Now that's golfing Heather!
Only an Englishman could wear socks with his sandals - Paul, Rick, Charles and Myrtle were together to the end!
Charley decided to show off his stuff at then end and we thank him for this!
Shirley, Larry, Dan, and Phil were also there today - Shirley said hey let me out of here and caught her usual ride home! He He HE!
Somehow this represents how we see Shirley?
NO - aww go on!
Shakey, Kit (hard to believe I am older than he is!) Don (Fingers to you!) and Pooch also scrambled around the course!
I managed to snag this picture of Don Ingram when he was apprenticing! Not that long ago either!
Flavio, Dennis, Lorraine and John scrambled around!
Lorraine said that a day on the course is better than what she has to do at home and seeing this picture I believe her!
Quit leaning on your splitter Lorraine and get the day's wood in the house!
( I love giving her orders!!)
Freddy Freeloader, Linda, Barry and Pat also toured the course but not too successfully as this little reel shows - apparently Pat was driving and he sort of overshot the course!
Last and least in our esteem was this team of Me, Norm, Paul and Sylvia.
We sort of shattered all kinds of notions about how good our game was!
As you can see this is how Robertson scored an 8 on number 17!
So CU on the course before we CU under it!
Next Wednesday
- I am not here cause I am not there next week
- off to Summerland to vacation
and try the Senior's Tournament there!
Remember 8:15 AM if possible so the organizers can get their fiendish plans into play!
Try not to look for lost balls too long like we did today and ready play golf and putting!
