Announcements:
September 14
- Our Club Seniors Championship will be held then
- participants must have played three times in our Seniors Group this year to qualify!
The Men will be in 2 or three flights depending on the
Powers That Be Decision Making
which usually consists of a decision
just as they turn in the gate at the Club!
The Ladies will be in one flight at present!
But what do I know!
It will be the usual random draw for groups but obviously not a team game that day!
Any prizes or give aways that you or someone you know has would be welcome!
Weldon Steele
- We are away at Logan Lake tomorrow
- meet at the west end of Costco for Al Jakel, Charles Molloy,
John French and Marc Guertin.
- 8:30 AM and good luck at Meadow Creek in Logan Lake!
Now to the High and Low Net results for today! Great weather wasn't it!
First Place was the Team of
Angus Gouthro, Dave Hay, and Al Jakel!
Oh yeah they dragged Fast Eddie around the course too!
Only because Hay luckbagged out with an eagle 3 on 18!
How they could shoot a 142 at their age is marvellous!
Guess that's what it takes!
In Second Spot this week were the team of
Don Puhach (Enough to make me sick to my stomach!)
and John (Hired Hand) French,
Dave (bringing home the ) Bacon
and Gerry Campbell!
Puhach and French should look sheepish
stealing our hard earned money!
Yeah yeah yeah! You came second you losers!
In Third Spot this week was
the old Danish Pirate Jorgen Sveistrup
just back from cruising the Skategatt?
or some waters between Sweden and Daneland.
Helping him was Bill M. Brown,
Marc (Dang did I just lift my head again?) Guertin,
and Lincoln Cadogan.
In 4th spot with her eyes wide shut was Lorraine Zimmer, Mark Hasbon, and John St. Louis - their 4th ran away with the spoon?
It was a wild ride for them today!
Finally in 5th spot were these fine golfers!
Dennis Fitzmaurice, Arlene whatever, Doug Roughage, and Art Harmful.
Don Puhach insisted that I put this in!
For Arlene's edification apparently?
See you in the recovery room Don!
These other groups were on the course today.
And in no particular order
as they have no class here they are!
Ken Reporter, Kirk (Just a second while I take this call!) Galbraith, The ever Divine Laurel and Mr. Gadget!
Their game was really good low Nets
but Really bad High nets!
Losers!
Also outstanding in the field was this group!
Bev brought along Harvey Haldahl from Drayton Valley
- their partners in crime left before lunch!
You can tell they really enjoyed the game today!
Also out and about were:
Marilyn Picture Perfect, Ron Hayward and Tave Dandy!
The ladies said that this is what it felt like
dragging Hayward around the course today!
I understand entirely!
Also seen around the clubhouse was this group:
Flavio Italiano, Shirley, Larry and ? I Met him,
I introduced myself, I asked his name
and then time passed
and I don't know!
Help me out here!
This typifies the kind of day they were enjoying.
Finally and not because I have a grudge against any
Deuce Pot Winners
but this group was also around the course
and Nadler did manage to scrounge a deuce here are
Dave Assmus, Mark Nadler, Erwin Nyfeler,
and Heather Heron.
They played the course!
And they looked dang fine doing it too!
Good luck next week - Off to Summerland next week and then Edmonton following week
so may see you on the 25th or not - good luck!
